Martin Van Buren Nature Trail

The Martin Van Buren Nature Trails are located across the street from the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site and Lindenwald, home of our nation’s eighth president, The 70 acres of Van Buren Nature Trails are made up of four well marked all season trails, including a 1.4-mile outer loop trail. A mowed meadow with two outhouses is used for group camping. There is also a glen with a small stream and overlook benches. Visitors to Lindenwald can enhance their visit by walking the trail and witnessing an environment similar to what the former President would have enjoyed in his retirement. The MVB Trail is owned by the Friends of Lindenwald, a non-profit educational organization.
